Abstract: The new Hulton Bridge, which crosses the Allegheny River near Pittsburgh, stands as a compelling example of how close collaboration by the owner, the engineers, and residents can result in a structure that in addition to meeting scheduling and budgetary targets and handling growing traffic volumes also serves as a gathering point and icon for the community.
