Abstract: Horizontal directional drilling was used to enable a large-diameter, 42 mi long pipeline to pass beneath two rivers. Despite late changes required by the limitations of the pipeline coating process, the project was completed on time and within budget, helping the City of Corpus Christi, Texas, to access a new water resource to serve its thirsty clients.
