Abstract:

A discussion of microtunneling equipment in the context of the design aspects of a microtunneling project is applicable only to the extent that the engineer must set forth in the contract documents the minimum capabilities of the equipment and the performance of the equipment. The actual selection of the specific equipment should be the responsibility of the contractor, subject to the established minimum requirements and review during the submittal process.
