Abstract:

Introductions for ASCE's 2013 Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement award finalists along with the acceptance speech of the winner, the Alvarado Water Treatment Plant. Also shown are the introductions for and the acceptance speeches of the recipients of the Outstanding Projects and Leaders award, the Charles Pankow Award for Innovation, the Henry L. Michel Award for Industry Advancement of Research, and the ASCE Excellence in Journalism award. The winners include Robert Alger, Charles Thornton, Charles Ladd, Merdith Temple, Michael Loose, Gordon Dickson, SreenivasAlampalli, and HC Bridge Company, LLC/University of Delaware/Transportation Technology Center/Transportation Research Board. OCEA finalists include the Brightwater Treatment Plant, Lake Oswego Interceptor Sewer, William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery, and My Waterway\x+ Punggol.
