Panel Discussion on Stormwater Issues in Pennsylvania

by Robert G. Traver,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: World Water & Environmental Resources Congress 2003

Abstract:

The management of stormwater in Pennsylvania has radically changed over the last several years due to the concern of the citizens of the Commonwealth, and the advent of NPDES Phase II. The emphasis is switching from a pure detention focus to one which is tailored to replace lost recharge, to reduce the increased runoff and erosion, and to reduce non-point source pollutants. The panel will discuss aspects of this change from their perspectives. Panelists include representatives from the State and County governments, as well as the private sector and academia.
