Abstract:

In order to build breakwaters, especially in the areas with heavy storms, a special analysis on the several factors is necessary. In addition, surveillance of time behavior of breakwaters in sea ports, also allowed pointing out the different patterns in structure yielding and further setting the constructive solutions intended to increase durability and the safety degree foreseen for the construction with minimum cost involved. In this technical solution the degradation are limited, and the repair works consist, mainly of rehabilitation of the armor and of blocks layer, using as support the profile of the damaged breakwater.
