Abstract:

The Chattahoochee Tunnel will increase the wastewater transport capacity of a suburban Atlanta county while greatly reducing the possibility of sanitary sewer overflows into the Chattahoochee River. This new wastewater conveyance system includes four intakes and a 50,000 ft long tunnel. It will boost suburban Atlanta's wastewater capacity to keep pace with a rapidly growing population.
