Abstract: Mathematical models in the form of summation equations are developed by neglecting the damping effects and utilizing the flexibility macro approach for grid systems subjected to out-of-plane harmonic loads. Closed form solutions are obtained for forced and free vibration cases in terms of finite sine series. Uniform grids with simple-side-supports as well as bridge-type-boundaries are analyzed for the deflection and moments at every node point in the grid system. All results are numerically illustrated.
