The Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century (AIR-21) spans a five year period, reauthorizing the Federal Aviation Administration and the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). The AIP will fund such needed improvements as runway, taxiway, and apron expansions and construction; noise control projects; land purchases; safety and security measures; and airport roadway enhancements.
