Abstract:

The Trump World Tower is a luxury residential building located on 1st Ave. and 48th St. in New York City, at the site of the United Engineering Building, overlooking the United Nations and New York's East River. The main tower footprint is 145 ft x 78 ft, and with a height of over 850 ft, makes it the tallest residential building in the world. The tower has a slenderness ratio of 11 in its short direction which makes it one of the most slender buildings ever built. The building has two underground levels. The residential floor heights vary from 10'-8 to 12'-8 with 16'-8 at the penthouse levels. The total floor area of the tower is about 800,000 ft?.
