This proceedings, composed of two volumes, contains the papers presented at the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Fourteenth Structures Congress held in Chicago, Illinois, USA, April 14-18, 1996. This Congress was held in conjunction with the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat Conference, Tall Building Structures? A World View, and the 5th International Colloquium on Stability of Metal Structures, organized by the Structural Stability Research Council.
