Abstract:

This manual provides technical criteria and guidance for the design of rock foundations for civil works or other similar large military structures. It provides a minimal standard to be used in planning a satisfactory rock foundation design under normal conditions. Unusual or special site, loading, or operating conditions may require advanced analytical designs that are beyond the scope of this material.
