Abstract:

Significant progress has been made in developing a stormwater management program at the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). Topics highlighted in this paper include: the inventory and field screening of outfalls in urbanized counties, the effort to prioritize outfalls for retrofitting, implementation of the Highway Runoff Manual, and WSDOT-funded water quality research.
