Abstract:

The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District system provides irrigation and hydropower benefits in south-central Nebraska. Because of its complexity, the system relies heavily on automation and remote control of most of its canal control structures. This paper briefly describes the layout of the system and the control methods used by the district.
