Abstract:

The purpose of the Border Environment Cooperation Commission (BECC) is to help preserve, protect, and enhance the environment of the border region in order to advance the well-being of the people of the United States and Mexico and achieve sustainable development. In carrying out this purpose, BECC will cooperate as appropriate with the North American Development Bank (NADBank) and other national and international institutions, and with private sources supplying capital for environmental infrastructure projects in the border region.
