Abstract:

This proceedings, Landfill Closures - Environmental Protection and Land Recovery consists of papers presented at the ASCE Annual Convention and Exposition held in San Diego, California, October 23-27, 1995. With increased closure and post-closure development of municipal solid waste landfills, there has been much study and design related to topics such as: 1) Suitable landfill cover design, 2.) dry landfills versus wet ones, 3.) leachates, 4.) landfill gas, and 5.) condensate. These and other subjects are discussed in this proceedings.
