Abstrct only. Coastal Zone '95, held in Tampa, Florida, July 16-21, 1995 is the ninth in a series of biennial multidisciplinary symposia on comprehensive coastal and ocean management. The extended abstracts included in this publication review technical knowledge and current practice for the improvement of planning, environmental considerations, design, development, and conservation actions related to coasts, wetlands, and oceans. These topics are addressed from different points of view: engineering and science; data gathering and monitoring; legal, regulatory, and political aspects of coastal management; planning, conservation, and development; and public information and citizen participation.
