Abstract:

This paper discusses the feasibility of Trimble Navigation's Site Surveyor System using Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) technology for conducting cadastral surveys. The use of RTK provides the land surveyor with a graphical display of his/her corrected position on the ground at that moment in time. Corner search is accomplished without the need for traversing and corners may be established without making traditional corner moves. This translates into considerable time efficiency and cost savings.
