Abstract: The algebraic stress model of turbulence is employed to calculate the 2-D flow field of the Gongzhui reservoir region. The discharge distribution among the discharging structures is achieved by adjusting the sizes of outlets. The calculated results show that the main velocity strap can be controlled to the main original river course by changing the direction of inflow and can not be controlled by setting another flood and sand relief tunnel.
