Evaluating Flow Resistance Using Height of Roughness Protrusionsby Ivana Marešová, Czech Technical Univ in Prague, Prague, Czech Republic,
Document Type: Proceeding Paper
Part of: Hydraulic Engineering
Abstract: On the basis of field measurements on the Sumava mountain rivers heights of roughness protrusions have been used for calculation of flow resistance. The result resistance equations, compared with those using a grain size, are statistically insignificant Also a change of the Manning roughness coefficient was investigated.
