Abstract:

Extensive studies are underway to improve the regulation of Lake Ontario. These studies not only involve the inclusion of factors and interest groups not previously considered, but also are examining the user interface from an operational standpoint. Two interactive models are described; both of which use multi-criteria, multi-objective principles to specify outflow releases. The use of these models as information tools at public forums is also addressed.
