Abstract:

The contra Costa Water District (CCWD) of Concord, CA was formed in 1935 under the authority of the State Water Code. CCWD purchases its water supply from the Central Valley Project (CVP), operated by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation (USBR). This system obtains water diverted directly from the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta (Delta) and from flows from CVP storage releases into the Sacramento River rediverted in the Delta to CCWD's system at Rock Slough.
