Abstract:

The computer programs have been increasingly used in structural analysis and design to improve productivity. The computer applications in areas of automatic member and foundation design and in dynamic analysis to calculate structural system frequencies to avoid resonant conditions are discussed. The use of special programs and spread sheet programs in day to day routine applications are also discussed in the paper.
