Abstract:

This paper outlines the research being undertaken by the authors to determine how experts develop solutions to construction problems in a cooperative distributed agent environment which are concurrent with architecture and engineering experts. The use of an Intelligent Computer Assisted Design System (ICADS) model facilitated concurrent engineering in a total design philosophy creating a cooperative man-machine environment.
