Abstract:

This paper analyzes the performance of three homogeneity tests for Gumbel distributed flood flows. The classic Dalrymple test, a method-of-moment Cv test, and a normalized-quantile test based upon L-moment parameter estimation. Because Dalrymple's original test was found in error a corrected version was used. The L-moment based test outperformed the other two tests.
