Abstract: Bedload measurements for Little Beaver Creek in Colorado were used to test the sediment transport functions included in SAM. The test results showed that Toffaleti predicts total bedload movement fairly accurately. However, none of the methods predicts transported size distribution accurately. Several seem to have a critical shear which precludes large bedload movement except at discharges outside the range of the present test data.
