Part of: Water Policy and Management: Solving the Problems

The water resources literature is rich with the application of optimisation techniques in the presence of uncertainty. This paper presents a brief overview of the various ways uncertainty has been incorporated into the optimisation models so as to make them more realistic representations of reservoir operations.
