Abstract:

This paper presents information about the long range regional water supply planning work that is being conducted in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan region. An integrated resources planning process (IRP) is being used with 27 different water provider entities jointly funding and managing the project. The paper describes how the planning effort was initiated, how it is managed, the IRP planning process, the products to be generated and the progress to date.
