Abstract:

The roof of coal storage in JiaXin Power Station is a double-layer barrel vault. This roof covers span of 103.5 M and a longitudinal span of 88.0 M. The height of this space truss is 3.5 M and the rise is as high as 37.27 M. The transversal shape of the barrel vault consists of three circles with a radius of 62.957 M and 37.427 M, respectively. This truss has 2553 nodes and 10062 members. The analysis and design of this Barrel Vault are discussed in this paper. The CAD system of Space Structures AADS is used for analysing and designing the structure.
