Abstract:

The feasibility of using lattice domes of various shapes generated by translating a variety of parametric polygons is illustrated and the dynamic characteristics of these lattices determined. The paper discusses the possibility of using energy dissipator devices to control the response of lattice domes generated by translating circular polygons sectors, when subjected to a dynamic environment.
