Abstract:

A new simple modelling of interface problems in non-linear FE-analysis of reinforced concrete (R/C) and prestressed concrete (P/ C) structures is presented. It consists in taking account in a explicit way the relative displacements (slip) between reinforcing steel (or prestressing tendons) and surrounding concrete. In this paper, we show how to account for the phenomenon in a multi-fiber approach for 3D beam type problems, the latter being an extension of the planar multi-layer approach to the three-dimensional case.
