Abstract:

Water company managers evaluating potential seismic damage effects on a pumping facility will require a reasonable estimate of the probable magnitude earthquake that has potential to disrupt serviceability. The analysis would determine expected force levels resulting from the interacting structures and failure analysis of the pipe structure. These analyses are presented in this report to provide an estimate of potential damage and loss of function of a pumping facility.
