Abstract:

The full-scale data on damping ratio are collected from 77 buildings within Japan. Almost all data are obtained from vibrations with a very small amplitude such as microtremor, man-power excitation, and so on. Responses of 6 buildings during strong winds are also collected, where the dependence of damping ratios and natural frequencies on the vibration amplitude is examined.
