Abstract:

In order to simplify the hysteretic characteristics of diagonal steel braces, a lateral bracing problem of unbonded braces embedded in the concrete panel is treated here. Lateral bracing conditions of the concrete panel to prevent the braces from buckling are derived as the solution of the equilibrium problem. The theory developed here is verified by the tests.
