Abstract:

Fly ash and other coal combustion by-products are used in the stabilization of industrial wastes. This paper describes the various types of fly ashes, the mechanisms of strength development, the advantages and disadvantages of fly ashes when compared to other solidification agents, and a typical solidification project.
