Abstract:

AEG Westinghouse Transportation Systems, Inc. has designed many graphic display based central control computers for people mover systems. These include airport systems for: Changi in Singapore, Stansted in England, Pittsburgh, Denver, Hartsfield Atlanta, Frankfurt in Germany, and Honolulu. These people mover central control systems perform many automatic functions, are built with off-the-shelf redundant structured hardware, include advanced color graphics and touch screen operator interfaces, have an embedded simulation, and are supported and may be monitored remotely by AEG Westinghouse Transportation Systems engineering personnel based in Pittsburgh.
