Part of: Geographic Information Systems and their Application in Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering

Abstract:

A central data repository is in the process of development for the recently-established system of U.S. geotechnical experimentation sites. Data which will be available for most of these sites will be in summary form; however, for five Level I and II experimentation sites, a much more extensive database is envisioned. Geographic Information System technology will be extremely useful in this context. Its potential applications are discussed.
