Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Composite Construction in Steel and Concrete II

Abstract:

This paper deals with numeric analysis of composite steel and concrete beams for loads up to the ultimate beam capacity. Two versions of a numerical model are presented addressing such aspects as low partial shear connection, profiled steel sheeting, connector ductility, and local buckling of the steel profile at internal supports for the case of continuous beams. In addition to comparison to tests, some instructive results deduced from simulation are given in relation to design at limit states.
