Abstract:

This paper describes the results of the test on a steel-concrete composite slab with truss-typed shear connectors. This composite slab was recently developed. A series of tests were conducted in order to evaluate (1) the strength of shear connector itself; (2) the ultimate strength; and, (3) the fatigue strength and durability of this composite slab under fixed loading point and moving load. For this purpose, push out tests of 39 specimens, flexural ultimate strength tests of 12 specimens, fatigue tests under fixed loading point of one specimen and fatigue tests under moving load of one specimen were executed. The results are detailed herein.
