Abstract:

Planning and design work of an aggregate mining facility within the Sutter Bypass, a key component of California's flood control system, is being performed by multidisciplinary team of engineers and resource scientists using state of science hydrodynamic modeling techniques. A cooperative relationship between project planners and agency review staff form different disciplines is identifying opportunities for project features which combine mining, environmental, flood control, and agricultural objectives
