Abstract:

The compound homogenous Poisson process (CNHPP) model (Shen & Todorovic, 1971 ) is found applicable in sediment infiltration into gravel bed due to the unsteady and nonuniform characteristics of the sediment infiltration. In order to apply this model, we require the two model parameters: (i) intensity function in time domain ?1(t), and ii) intensity function in space domain ? 2(x). This paper provides a way to determine these two parameters from the experiments.
