Abstract:

This paper describes the Pittsburgh International Airport Stormwater Management Program which was developed to provide a comprehensive approach to stormwater management on the PIT property, provide a tool to aid in the efficiency of planning the future of PIT, and to facilitate the development of the property in a responsible manner. A fully computerized model was developed which would allow periodic updating of the program to account for changes in land use plans. The program was developed in coordination with other concerned environmental agencies and takes into account state regulations and local ordinances of two townships.
