by Donald Surrency, USDA-Soil Conservation Service, Athens, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Coastal Zone '93

Abstract:

The dune stabilization system used in the Phoenix Condominiums project can be used to enhance dunes all along the Atlantic and Gulf Coast. The plants and technology are available, which make it possible for individual homeowners to undertake their own dune preservation effots. An irrigation system is required on all dune plantings to provide adequate moisture during the initial establishment period.
