Abstract:

This paper will examine the planning process required to conduct a transportation analysis for a high speed ground transportation system, utilizing the Orlando experience as an example. In addition, an interactive spreadsheet will be presented as a tool for estimating the vehicular and mass transit characteristics of such a system. Finally, applicability to other future systems and planning efforts will be examined, along with recommendations of the need for future studies.
