Abstract:

The objective of this paper is to present a historical summary of the factors which have influenced the successful implementation of pavement management system (PMS) for the lessons learned which have emerged in the area of pavement management implementation as the technology has advanced, with the objective of providing the developers of the new infrastructure management tools with enough information to streamline their implementation process.
