Abstract:

Utilization of technologies and innovation to revitalize America's public works infrastructure is beset with barriers. Some critical barriers, identified through literature review and a workshop conducted at US Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratories, are presented in this paper. Also described are the proposed models for national technology transfer process and transfer of technologies currently available but unknown to users.
