Storage of Combined Sewer Overflow: How Effectibe is it Anyway?by Khamis A. Al-Omari, Black & Veatch, Detroit, United States,
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to illustrate the importance of modeling long term rainfall records to evaluate the effectiveness of combined sewer overflow storage. This paper will present a case study on the Grand Rapids, Michigan Combined Sewer System to show the application of the USERA's Stormwater Management Model (SWMM) in a continuous mode to predict the volume and number of overflows over an extended period.
