Abstract:

The UC Davis Water Resources Modeling Group developed a unique Graphical Use Interface (GUI) in the Microsoft Windows environment to facilitate use of the stream mode QUAL2E for the Russian River, California. Use of the GUI enhances interaction between model and user, thus streamlining the processes of calibration and verification, and saving time and staff resources in model applications for water quality management. This paper focuses on the use of the GUI for calibration and validation.
