Abstract:

The Hanford Waste Vitrification Project (HWVP) is being constructed at the U.S. Department of Energy's Hanford Site in Richland, Washington. The paper gives an overview of the HWVP which consists of several structures, the major ones being the Vitrification Building, the Canister Storage Building, fan house, sand filter, waste hold tank, pump house, and administration and construction facilities. A description of these buildings and their appendages is given.
