Abstract:

Natural frequencies, mode shapes and damping characteristics for a long-span cable-stayed bridge were experimentally determined from a series of ambient vibration tests for both the cantilever stage of construction and the completed bridge. This experimental data was also used to develop and refine finite element models of the bridge.
